Lost Creek Bridge

Lost Creek Bridge is a 39-foot Howe truss covered bridge spanning Lost Creek in Jackson County, Oregon. Built in 1919, it is one of the smallest covered bridges in the state — a diminutive structure perfectly sized for the narrow creek it crosses in the pastoral farmland of the upper Rogue River valley.

Despite its compact dimensions, the bridge is a historic landmark in Jackson County and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It carries Agate Road through orchard and farm country southeast of Medford.

Lost Creek Bridge was constructed in 1919 and is named for the creek it spans, which in turn reflects the seasonal nature of this small waterway — flowing strongly in winter and spring, then diminishing or disappearing in the dry southern Oregon summers.

The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Though small in scale, its age and intact condition make it a significant example of early 20th century rural bridge construction in the Rogue Valley.
